HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Boy-oh-boy-oh-boy did I get fed good today!!!!!!!! Resident #5 invited me to his apartment for dinner...He is a good cook...we had pork roast...mashed tatoes.....stuffing....and cranberry sauce.......then......resident #7's daughters came over with the feast of all feasts....turkey...dressing...mac and cheese....sweet potatoes...greens.....corn bread.....cake......AND sweet potato pie!!!!!!!!!!they sent me home with a ton of food...including a WHOLE SWEET POTATO PIE!!!!!!!!!!!
her grandson did a great job on the pies!  So good!
Hope everyone had plenty of good food and good company!


On the way home a bum......insisted on sitting next to me on the bus......he stunk.......

WOW...I AM STILL HERE.....

HI!!  I am still alive and kicking! Not much has been happening around here... Just work...One of the daughters of one of my residents called my employer and told them what a great job I was doing taking care of their Mom! (blush) I do "dote" on her a bit more than the others ..but I dote on all of them....I adore ALL of my residents....

The weather here turned cold early...then we had a day or two of warmish temps...had our first snowfall...1/2 inch...I feel for the people of Buffalo scary stuff..I am so glad I am on the "right" side of the great lakes....

I found out a friend of mine committed suicide a few weeks ago....so sad...I don't know the reason or how. This has been a bad year for me...my brother #2....best friends son and father in law....My beloved Aunt Irma...now Debbie....

I still get bad "Mikey" days as I call them...I think of how he rotted for three weeks before he was found and of the last words I said to him...but they are fewer and farther apart than they were.....I still sometimes feel like I am the only one grieving for him and I know that is not the truth. 

Anyway...that's what's up in my world...

Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving with lots of great food and family time....I have to work....not that I had anywhere to go anyway...

WELL I NEVER!!!!

I was on my way to work....I think it was Friday..and this VERY drunk "lady" got on the bus.....sat down kitty cornered from me......and said.....I am going to kick your a$$.....and then I am going to kill you......(?)...I ignored her...she got up..went to irritate the bus driver....poked a gigantic black man......irritated the bus driver again.....poked the man again....he got fed up and moved....she sat back down.....and started irritating the lady next to her....she was playing a game on her phone and the drunk lady kept asking her what's this sh**?...She got up again and irritated the bus driver some more....by that time it was time for me to get off the bus......had to go past drunk lady.....she just glared at me...lol.

One of my residents put a plastic container in her toaster oven....she said...Marilynn (?) (she has also renamed all the CNA's) look what I did....How do I get this off...can I put it in the microwave to melt it off? I asked how did that happen?  I put it in the toaster oven....I said..you can't put plastic in the toaster oven....she said I know that now...It was melting like ice-cream!!!..I will bring in my wire cutters tomorrow and cut it off for you...

Two of my residents had birthdays yesterday!  I got one a plant and a bunch of flowers...and the other got a bunch of flowers. One got new furniture from her daughter....and they took her to Golden Corral to eat!! she even left her keys for me to finish her cleaning so she came home to a cleaned apartment. She had a good day! Her family came with a bunch of balloons.and sang happy birthday! she got clothes....and a photo album with all kinds of family photos,I will be checking that out when I go in today.

I found out my favorite Aunt is very sick..and will not be here for much longer... :( . I love her to pieces My cousin made the decision to just let her go comfortably..and I agree....she is 88 yrs old and her quality of life would not be as good as it was at one time...she has alzheimer's.

I'M STILL HERE!!!!!

Yup..it's true....Not many new things to say..the bus stop on 6th and Wisconsin is filled with "characters" and I use the term loosely...OK..they are drunks and bums....it's a shame too some of them are in their 20's...so sad such a waste of life...anyway....

Today was ..I repeat was my day off...... I got suckered into escorting one of our residents food shopping......I even told him Friday is my day off...He said it's OK I will call it in....I knew then I was toast...lol! OMG!  the other cna who usually does it can continue that job......he gets frustrated easily wants to get done as fast as possible.....as in immediately..I had a hard time keeping up with him and his scooter.....while checking things off the list and keeping track of everything on the calculator...I hit the wrong button twice and gave up...that got scrapped in a hurry...LOL!!  And...OMG is he picky!! name brands only....very few store brand things...sheesh. I do like him tho and he is such a story teller....I love all of the residents that I care for, more and more everyday.

I still did not finish cleaning up the garage....Brother #1 came and looked at some things...and discovered all the dvd movies..and I am quite sure he took all the good ones..LOL It's ok tho. 

Anyway...that's whats up in my world.

OHHHH OK WOW....

WOW...It has been a while....let's see....not a lot going on not even a cute bus story or anything.....dull,dull, dull....... Brother #1 SCARED the crap outta me last Saturday!!  I didn't know he was coming yet!  the was a knock at my door....mind you this was 11:45pm!!! here I sat with no phone....I looked over (door open screen door was hooked) and there stood my big brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So happy to see him!  and he took me a couple days later and got me  a new phone!!  I will be writing a letter to tracfone tho...because when I called to report it stolen The tootsie that I spoke to said I would be able to keep most of my minutes because I reported it stolen. when I wanted to activate my new phone I had to talk to someone on their "live chat" feature...because they wanted the serial number from the old phone...I no longer had that info....and I told him what I wanted to do and asked him how to do it and he informed me that because I reported it stolen I cannot get my minutes back  (!) GRRR Two weeks prior to this I bought an $80.00 minute card( 480 minutes which DOUBLE on my phone)!!  I was livid!!! I am just glad my brother bought me a minute card too! AND i am not pleased with my new number......i now have a 262 area code now any way....this phone is a triple minute phone which is nice,I am still getting used to the touch screen and I hate 99% of the ringtones....Everytime my phone goes off I scream  ICE CREAM!!!  It plays the ice cream truck sound!

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.......

Wow......I don't even know where to begin....Sunday (19th).....My phone got ripped off....only because of my stupidity.......Lil 12 year old....Ma'am do you have a phone so I can call my Momma?....well..I handed him my phone and off it went.....please don't say that was dumb...If I had a dollar for everytime I have heard that....But damn that was dumb and will never happen again....for anybody......it wasn't an I-Phone or anything...just a cheap trac-phone...I can save my minutes and number because it was stolen.

My neighbor got hit with a $50.00 fine because his weeds were taller than 7 inches......REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the problems in this city they are worried about your freaken weeds....?! So he is weed whacking mine,his brothers (my next door neighbor)  I wish this cities government would get their priorities straight...these weeds were in the ALLEY!!!!!! Not the front of his house.....people shooting each other..... the heroin epidemic......hookers on Lincoln ave. problems way worse than weeds taller than 7 inches....any way..enough bitchen...

I am getting more hours at work and I got  a new home care lady to take care of. I took care of her for the first time today. she is sweet.

Garage cleanup will continue this saturday at least for a bit. I wish I could afford a "biohazard cleanup company"  to come in and do it but I can't,they are hideously expensive. 

Anyway...that's what's up in my world.

AND SO IT BEGINS.....

Well the cleanup process has begun....OMG!! was that man a pack rat!!  I cannot believe how much CRAP can be packed in such a small area....we worked for at least 3 hours and didn't even put a dent in the stuff...mostly garbage....well we did find $15 bucks...LOL. Oh Lord the smell....I am sure it has diminished a bit since it happened but woo.....and the maggots.....and flies....and roaches...I still have that creepy-crawly feeling....I'd post a pic but I would prolly lose the 4 people who read this...lol. He had a big container of wire...a box of wheels...a Bible (!)....3 wall unit shelves....several other kinds of shelves.....and mirrors up the ying-yang...I have no idea why...he was not THAT good looking..I have no idea what to do with any of it....big rummage maybe....to my surprise he has a nice curio cabinet...I don't know what condition it is in but..

I need my neighbor to move his car out of there so I can clean up the entire garage...would make it a lot easier for me to maneuver in there and I would not have to worry about damaging it while hauling out the big stuff.

My neighbor across the street said he would help taking stuff to the dump...he has a pick up and a trailer. Sue said her friend Pat will help too. 

It was emotional for me and Sue..she was a good friend of his and her daughter is Mikes God child...well was...

I have so much work to do today and tomorrow  I have to mow the weeds.....and rewash dishes....had to spray bug spray and forgot to move the clean dishes...dummy...lol. Oh well .

OMG..REALLY?!?!?!?

Yes Grim reaper struck again......Best friend same one who JUST lost her son.....her father in law passed on Wednesday .....My heart hurts for her.

AND THE GRIM REAPER CALLS AGAIN.......

Well this certainly the weekend from HELL.....Friday as you know My brother was found dead in my garage.....Sunday I get a call from my best friend.....her 23 yr old son has passed.....I don't know if I could handle another death of any kind......I am emotionally drained....... I am also having trouble dealing with how Mike was found (and my last words I said to him)...I think he was in the garage when I went to see if he was in there.....I just didn't go in far enough...and maybe I could have helped him and if I couldn't save him maybe he would not have rotted in the garage for 3 weeks (ME's estimate) before being found.......If I would have walked down 4 more feet.......I only think this because I turned the lights and TV OFF when I went to check...and they were still off when my neighbors found him..... 

My neighbors hopefully will be helping me clean up the "MIKE GOO".....we have already put 4 roach bombs in there....and ready to put more in if needed.....

so anyway  hope everyone's weekend was WAY better than mine....

Well  it happened....My brother #2 has  passed on.....I believe it was a suicide..My poor neighbor found him in the garage at 12:30 am this morning....he was apparently there for .....Ummm a while ....

I hope he is at peace

WOW IT HAS BEEN AWHILE....

WOW!  It has been a while.....and boy do I have a story for you!! (if anyone still reads this) in one of my last posts you know brother #2 has been asked to "remove" himself from his place of residence......anyway as I suspected he did NOT do anything about it till 2 seconds before he had to leave (I'm tellin ya..know brain cells left) he has stored his stuff im my garage...and himself for a day or two....We got in a huge fight when he told me ....and I quote...."fuck it I am just going to get an over dose of heroin and kill myself....no one loves me anyway.......BLAH BLAH BLAH....." Well That set me off (I am NOT pleasant when pissed..)  I told him GO AHEAD....GROW SOME BALLS AND DO IT THIS TIME....He does this shit every year right before his birthday......his mind just pops.....  It is his custom to "avoid" me for a while after a big fight....(the fight was June 2nd) Well It is July 1 and I have not seen him since....I had to put on my "big girl panties" and check to see if he was dead in the garage...because when he said he was going to off himself I told him to do it some where else...and he said no I will die at home (?) Well he was not in there tho the TV and lights were on.....turned them off.....So here I sit worried where the he** he is.....I guess if I don't see him by his birthday I will get a missing persons report..  sheesh........58  years old...it is a miracle he is alive (?)

This is me at the Making Strides Against Breast cancer walk  on Saturday...We had a great day for the walk...The sweet baby I was holding is Riley..She is sooooo sweet and so beautiful  she is up for adoption..If I could afford a dog she would be MINE!!!!!

But....I cannot....besides I don't think my cat would appreciate it. LOL

  

I love my job more and more everyday..I am getting attached too...I will be pretty much devastated if someone passes....  :(  

My home care that I took care of is now in a nursing home....she just became to much for me and the other aide to take care of. It is a good thing.

ANOTHER BABY TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE....

This is Floyd  he belonged to my best friend Dawn...she had to have him put down two weeks ago,,,he was 17 years old.....his "brother" TYGEY was put down a few years prior  he was having difficulty walking and getting around and had quit eating.....Floyd will be missed by Auntie Mel Mom  and Grandma........

I am sure he will be a great Friend to the Great Possum S. Hemingway  Loved by Jimmy (jimmy's Journal)  I know myself how the loss of  a beloved pet can hurt

This is My Buddy......My baby for 7 years......has been gone since 2001 and still step over him in the doorway.....

OH HERE WE GO AGAIN........

YES !  Brother #2 is making me crazy again.........I am surprised he has lived to the ripe old age of 58  (If he makes it to July 5th)   He comes over last Saturday.....in a panic Can you call the police I have just been robbed....four N****** hit me over the head with a gun took $280.00........I check out his head as he is calling the police.....lost all of 7 drops of blood......ambulance comes and takes him away....I head off to work.......later that day he comes back says cops don't believe he was robbed......(neither do I really)  I asked why do you say that...they said My head wasn't puffed up.....(he allegedly got hit above the eye.....with the gun)   and it was not  puffed up as much as getting hit with a gun...but.......maybe they just didn't hit him that hard...No  idea....then tells me he was given 90 days to remove himself from his apartment ( I don't know if he was asked this month or 3 months ago..and is just now getting to taking care of it...........and needs to live in the garage for a while.........I'm like...ummmm..NO.  the next day ..can I move back in here till next summer??  Again....ummmm.....NO......I'll give you 300.00 a month........UMMMMM    NO......once he is back in here he will never leave...and I will be stuck with the ass forever......I DON'T THINK SO.   Yesterday.......If I buy you $10 in food can you give me 10 dollars?.......I don't have any money......( I did but I wasn't giving him any)......OK...I'll buy you $15 and you give me $10.00......?  I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  SHEESH.......(there was quite a bit of colorful language with that)....LOL. he wanted to buy some bleach to clean his apartment (!?) so I gave him some floor cleaner I use...fabuloso.....stuff smells great....I told him bleach is a  disinfectant NOT a cleaner.....next day he was still looking for ten from other people.....for bleach.....~~~~~~~~SIGH~~~~~~~ 

ANYWAY......My job is going well.....love it more and more everyday...and the residents are great!!

MY NEW SWEAT SHIRT!!!

i DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE CUTE PART BUT..I  DO KNOW CPR!!

I AM TIRED!!!

I am sooooo tired!! Right down to the bones....Had to take care of my home care lady this am (I now take care of her Tuesdays...Thursdays...Saturdays and Sundays... 9-12 noon) Today I had to work 1:30-9 pm...at the facility......right after my 9-12 shift for the home care....I am pooped....But the work is not to bad...2 were gone so I didn't have to take care of them....and I adore my residents!! 

Well I must get to bed.....

LOVIN THE NEW JOB

I am lovin the job!  I like my home care lady a lot..she is my age..hubby well let's just say he can be a pain...anyway..he was arrested. so my poor lady did't have much food in the house...She had rice with spaghetti sauce for lunch )polish Spanish rice) ick....and I didn't feel right feeding that to her but she had little else...when I got home I told my employer what was up and told them I was going to get her some food..so I did...soup,bread oat meal, cereal, crackers , lunch meat.some mac and cheese....I could not let anybody go hungry like that...she does have a couple sisters and they help with what they can. Her case worker will be notified,about all this.

anyway....looks like more snow is headed our way.....3 more inches....oh joy....NOT.

Well not much else to say..and it is after midnight and I am tired.....good thing I am off on Wednesdays!!

I now work for Anew Health Care Services!!!!  I do one home health and then at an assisted living facility!  I started Tuesday!  

I take care of a lady in her home on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9 am to Noon......and I will get a regular schedule On Saturday....I will work this sat 4-8 pm  and Monday so far 4-8 pm!  I am not fond of the evening hours BUT I have a job..is one happy lady!!

And that's what's new in my world!!!!!!

I am soooooo happy!  It is very part time 2 days a week 3 hours a day ! But it is better than nothing!

And...They will be checking out getting me into the assisted living facility they also have! 

I start Feb 11th!!!!

HAPPY FEBRUARY!!

OK....I am one day off.  but I figure by the time one of you read this it will be~ Not much going on around here  I did pass my CBRF classes!  WOOT! 

Brother #2 is making me crazy.....I wonder if he is doing this on purpose? well anyway...some one stole his debit card and figured out his pin number (so he says...I think he had it written on the back.......But that's just my opinion) and spent all his money...he did get the card reissued.....So then he met this "LADY"  she is his age..and he says she is real nice (No not boyfriend /girlfriend...just friends) he gave her his new card...and she takes care of his money (!??) this is according to him.......I did question him about it but, he is stupid....whatever........and he has hookers hanging around his house.....today......he brings me his phone....."I can't get it off vibrate.....can you fix it?  I'll try...nope no idea how to do it....and I did try.......calls me up 10:30 pm...."call me back I want to see if it works".......I call him back........nope no ringer...I told him to quit playing with it for the night or it will make him crazy(ier)  he said ok......5 min later ;"could you call me back one more time?" ok..nope...he said now it isn't doing anything..... GRRRR   WHY ME?!?!?!?!
the weather here has been interesting.....NO.....It has been FRICKEN COLD!!!!!!!!    -15 WITH WIND CHILLS OF -45!!! to cold for my taste!
