GARBAGE TRUCK

Law of the Garbage Truck
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.
As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.
Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so ...
Love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a blessed, garbage free day.

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY.....

I had a great day today....I went to a birthday/retirement party for one of the guys that used to live across the street from me for years and years...could not ask for better weather! Sunshine blue skies...nice breeze...and best of all great company! Gosh their daughters two girls have gotten so big since they moved, and soo pretty.
I also got to meet one of my other neighbors new baby for the first time ...even tho he is two...lol he looks just like his Grandpa!!! Their parents and my parents were best friends..they moved in the neighborhood (next door) shortly after we did in 1965.....they were the first Mexican family....lol the stories I hear,,,lol I guess the rest of the neighbors were "less than" thrilled about it...lol But My Mom and Dad were very welcoming to them.

Poor Tom...he was surprised... but he and everyone had a great time...everyone was way overfed...tuna salad.....potato salad....some kinda pasta salad.....and my other neighbor made some "BLT" dip......OMG!!!! was that good! even tho she left out the tomato...lol. She said I left it out because some people don't like tomato....cheese and crackers....and cup cakes ..cake and ice cream (vanilla and pumkin pie ice cream......talk about yummie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The kids had a great day playing football in the yard....the NFL might just have their first female quarterback in a few years lil Emily.....she is four at the moment.....she can toss that football!! Perfect spiral too! and HARD.......good thing it's a nerf ball!!!
Before I left for the get together I took a walk in the park across the street by me and took some pics of the great fall colors.....I would have waited till tomorrow but with my luck they would have fallen off the tree at night...lol Of course I forgot to take the camera to the party.....~SIGH~

I WITNESSED A MURDER ON TUESDAY....

I was on the bus stop going food shopping after the bank so I was by my old place of employment...saw one person I knew.....we chatted for a bit...he retired and was just going in to clean out his desk....any way was good to see him....Not to mention very pleasant to look at...lol. any way.....I was waiting and this ~AHEM~ large man came to wait for the bus too...bus came I gopt on...and sat down....and the ~AHEM~ large man got on after me...and as he sat down I noticed the ladybug on his butt.......lmaooo ~~SQUISH~~~

It was a very exciting week for me......ladybug murder on Tuesday.....and on Wednessday the "tree butchers" came....Or was it Monday for the tree butcher?....hmmmm all my days run together now...sheesh. Well any way the tree butchers are the city workers who go up the city streets trimming the tress on the street...funny tho they wouldn't listen to me when I told them to cut three certain trees down..pricks...lol. They did go light on my tree tho at my request...they really butcherd the one across the street from me, looks like a dang Q-tip.

Well that's it for my exciting week...lol

WOW...NOTHING EXCITING

Nothing exciting here it's cold....and dreary....yesterday was very windy...out of the north...BRRRR.

having a bit of trouble with brother #1 and brother #2......brother #2 wants brother #1 to call him........I sent brother #1 brother #2 phone number........with a nice message that he would like to talk to you........I got a reply NO! I give up...I guess brother #2 is sick cirrhosis (?) of the liver or something like that....I think brother #1 is just being stubborn....well so is brother #2 but....someone will feel bad if someone passes on before he decides to at least talk to him...GRRRRR family. I see trouble at brother #1's wedding next June.......because of brother #2 ~~SIGH~~

I am still working on school...I need to get a physical and some special blood test before hand and get some type of health insurance...wonder which orifice they'd like me to pull the money for that out of. Seeing I have no orifices left........and none of them had any money in them anyway....but I will manage somehow......In the meantime I still have to search for jobs that aren't there.... and the few that are are in places I cannot get to...seeing I don't drive.....I think even if I did drive I don't think I'd want the job anyway...not for the amount they are offering anyway....most of them are for less that $10.00 an hour, or temp services. I did get a call from a company.....but they work on Saturday's and the bus don't run there on Saturday's....how nice....*&0)(&^9. It's a pain to apply for jobs too because I have to look up the address to see if I can get there and you would be surprised at the number of places that do not have addresses on their websites...sheesh.
Wish I had something more excting to tell...not even a funny bus story......sheesh.....
