WOW!!!!!!! WHAT A MOVIE!!!!

WOW!  What a movie!!!   I just got back from seeing Star Wars!!   I LOVED IT!!!!!!  I could however do WITHOUT the 3-D......gave me a bit of a headache and whiplash...sheesh.... and the ships that seem to come from behind you.....and the burning embers all over...I have never been to a 3-D movie so it was all new to me.....Didn't care for it...was cool, but....  and some parts made me gasp!  I won't give anything away...


anyway....Beginning January I will  have  another job...taking care of one of the residents I used to take care of....for a few hours a week....He has been having issues with the other agency's that he has tried. He found out today he could hire his own person...(or 2) so he will be diving up the hours between me and another aide.....wooo hooo a few extra bucks for us...

We are having a nice spring so far this winter....only 3 or so inches of snow..(so far) which is  OK by me.  And that was back in November....LOL.  Some of the daffodils are even trying to come up.....

WELL....YES.....I AM STILL HERE.....I THINK.....

Well  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!   I volunteered to work my coworkers shift for her so she could spend the time with her family.....( I had nowhere to go anyway) She said how about  half the shift? We don't  do anything till late afternoon anyway....OK by me.....So I worked....but got fed good!  Weather sucked..RAINED ALL DAY.....Well....I guess it could have been worse.....1.5 inches of rain = A LOT  of snow.....Which we got our first of.....5.5 inches or so.

     My friend lost her husband the day before......puts a bit of a damper on the holidays......

Other than that not a whole lot going on.....OH!!!! My sisters boyfriend got a deer !!  WOOT!!  I am tasting deer chops now!!  I only have the burger he gave me left  so hopefully he will give me some more chops!  I make a mean venison Swiss steak!!!   I have to tease cousin over this because he has not gotten a deer in about 2 years now....so every time I have it I rub it in...LOL.

My "new" couch!

I'M STILL HERE!!

Wow it's certainly been a while.....there is a whole lotta nothin going on......still going on my walks....most day anyway......I have also been naughty a few times so I have put 8 lbs back on....I know slap me...lol.  Anyway.....other than that doing ok.  

Still lovin my job...My home care lady said something that startled me a bit...about 10 min before I left she said "I wish I was dead" I told her everyone will miss you if you were......I called her daughter and told her. I guess after you get to a certain age.....She will be 94 this December...she lost her last brother earlier in the year and that was a bit tough on her.  I try and encourage her to go down to sit with the other people in the reception room so she won't be so lonely.

Weather is starting to cool off a bit......which is great for walks....colors are starting to change. This is my favorite time of the year....NOT looking forward to winter at all...



Found out when  I went to get my new numbers last time the lady told me 6.1   it was actually 6.7  which is still great...the "Dr. Du-Jour" said he never seen an A1C drop that much in 3 months! 


OHHHHH   I got a "new"  couch!!   It took me a bit to get used to it cause it is 6 inches longer than the old one and now I get glare on the TV from my lamp...so I just turn the lamp off and turn my smaller lamp on...I can't find my pic of it tho  :( .....

NEW NUMBERS....DRUM ROLL PLEASE........

Well got my new numbers (A1C) went from 12.1 in April...(very bad) to 6.1 (which is pre-diabetes level) Still not the best but I am working on it.....Still walk my mile everyday..OK most days..has been hottish here lately,and air gets a bit "thick" here too...LOL....

Sleep has not been good to me either...I don't know if is the heat or the diabetes....no energy and I have so much to do...the lawn needs mowing (fav job....NOT) Got me a new weed wacker.....you know those things don't work to well with the viney weeds!?...Well they don't...Just FYI. Or thick weeds either.......Anyway....

The other day on my way home from work some OLD scrubby looking man invited me to come home with him....I'm like ummmm  nooooooooooo.......We have  a LION on the loose it the city too...OH joy! Nut cases with guns.....over 90 homicides already....I have no freaken clue what is going on in or fine city but I don't like it.....I guess no where is safe now days.

OMG!!! PLUMBING IS ALL UP TO "CODE" NOW.....LOL

Well.......final bill for plumbing....$2344.20  (included "inspector" fees inspector said everything's good)
!!!  I did get to keep sink in the basement but not the toilet..oh well....AND...for $800.00 I can have hot water in my  bathtub!! How nice!! Plumbing is old pipes are clogged with rust... was fine till I had to turn water off twice...The plumber explained that to me too he said my pipes are very old and they are prolly coated with rust and when the water was turned off the rust fell and clogged the pipes to tub...said the hot water pipes deteriorate faster than the cold...sooooo I am clogged...SIGH anyway....

OMG!!!! I HATE BEING A HOMEOWNER.........

OMG!!!!! really!?   The wonderful city of Milwaukee has decided I needed a "new" water meter.......SOOOO I let them in to change it......He was a bit befuddled by the location....A pit in the basement floor.....Dude...I didn't put it there.......Anyway he got it changed and announced that I have an "inoperable inlet shut off" (?) ....OK....SOOOO a week or two later I get this "Notice" that  I need to get said valve fixed and you have 30 days in which to do it......So..I call the plumber...estimates (ballpark...at my request) guy says..."about" $600.00.......OK.....Plumber comes over today and sees the pit in the floor ....and says WOW  haven't seen one like this in ages......BUT..he is an older plumber so he has dealt with these pits in the floor before...He laughed and said some of the younger guys prolly would not have known how to even deal with it....lol......(It's NOT my fault my house is 8000 years old)....Well 115 anyway (Circa 1900)....It  went from $600 to about $2000.00!! AND....I lose the sink and toilet down there. I don't care about that to much seeing I don't use my basement for anything....not even storage...to many spiders for my taste.....and God knows what else is living down there......ick.   WELL....that was problem number one....Problem number two.I now have ROACHES.....OMG!!!! I am scared to death of them!!! I prolly bought one in when I brought a box of my brothers belongings into the house after his demise.....So my friend CJ is going to help me rid my house of them. They are under my fridge....YUCK!!!!!!!! Now for problem three.....MICE......my cat is almost useless in that department......Although she did bring me one once as a nice "gift"...I now have a very "smart" mouse (mice) now....won't get caught in a trap won't get stuck on sticky trap.....~~~SIGH~~~

Other than that not much else going on...go next month to get my new "numbers" (A1-C) and all that good stuff...I hope they went down I have been working very hard.

WOW...WHAT A MONTH!!! (KINDA)

I am dealing ok with the diabetes.....there are somethings I still don't understand...but as I think of them I write them down and will ask Dr. next time I go in....My sugar is still not under control as much as the Dr. would like anyway. I am trying really I am...I gave my sister ALL of my noodles....rice...pancake mix...sugar....cookie mix and a cake mix that I had....I don't eat white bread..(unless I have too) and limit the wheat bread to 4 slices a day or less.....and I walk a mile a day...sometimes more if I am feeling rambunctious. My friend who also has diabetes for a few years now is trying to give me some helpful hints but...I will take care of my own....I won't take her advice because she still eats the caramel apple pancakes from I-Hop... so..I will figure it out for myself...lol.

 On one of my walks around the park (1 mile around) I met this wonderful lady who EVERY morning she goes around the pond we have in the park and picks up all the litter and crap people toss in....so now I help her when I can. Me and one of my neighbors (who is also diabetic) took our walk around the park and we picked up all the litter from the perimeter....We are going to try and do that twice a week or so...she has been having some back problems so she hasn't been joining me on my morning walks like she normally does. People sure are pigs.....pick up your crap and toss it in the trash...sheesh!!

OHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!GUESS WHAT!?!?!?!?!  Go ahead guess!!!!!!  Can't guess?  I got a call the other day from some lady.....She told me her name and told me her husband was looking for his birth father... (?) and then asked if I knew a man named Michael Jarozewski.....I said yes he was by brother (brother #2) SOOOOOOOO  I got to meet MY nephew!!!!

HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!! I don't see to much resemblance except for the nose...lol (not mine brother #2's)He does however strongly resemble  Brother #1's daughters son. Who just got married.....and Brother #2 was a grandpa! I wish they would have gotten to meet...I really do.

Anyway...My hours still suck..I guess I will be polishing up my resume... I cannot live on $76. and some change a week.They told me they have some hours at another facility..but I have heard nothing.Kinda makes me mad they told us they did not want to lose any  of us..but....they will if they don't do something to rectify it.

Anyway....that's what's up in my world!

I AM STILL HERE!!!!

I am still here.......not much going on....I HAVE to find a new job...they slashed our hours to 14 hrs a week....can't live on that.....and   Got some news ...I was diagnosed with diabetes.....(I will live) I have to go and get an echocardiogram on Friday.......sheesh.......so I got some meds and  a meter....I get to poke myself 2 times a day.....OUCH....well anyway...I have been watching what I eat...no white bread..noodles...potatoes...rice....I take a mile walk every morning...when I get in better shape...I will do more.......
OH and I am trying AGAIN   to quit smoking....day 3!

I hope spring comes soon.....it is fricken cold out!!  supposed to be 65 tomorrow....but....rainy......~~~~sigh~~~

WOW....HAPPY NEW YEAR.....LOL

Wow   it sure has been a while.....sheesh... not much going on.....got hit with a nasty snowstorm last Sunday....I even stayed at work overnight..one of the  other residents that lives in the building I work in let me stay on her couch....it was so bad even the busses stopped running for a bit.
a few days ago I was coming home from my home care lady and some nutcase got on and was telling everyone he was going to smoke his soda and fly away like a bird...LOL

Last night one of the residents put a good scare in us...had to call 911....she is ok.
