OLD FARTS

I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only old fart receiving it.

Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called, as you will see. Old Farts are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner . Old Farts remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them.

Old Farts remember World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal , Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age , the Korean War , The Cold War , the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, not to mention Vietnam .

If you bump into an Old Fart on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Fart on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady.

Old Farts trust strangers and are courtly to women.

Old Farts hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.

Old Farts get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies.

Old Farts have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children or grandchildren.

It's the Old Farts who know our great country is protected, not by politician's, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.

This country needs Old Farts with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country and decent values.

We need them now more than ever.

Thank God for Old Farts!

I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

WHY IS GOD MAD AT ME.......SHEESH.....

WHY?! WHAT DID I DO? I'm a good person....I don't drink......I don't do drugs......I volunteer at a food bank....I try and treat people nice..........I had my meeting with my case worker today....I left there HAPPY.......I called Concordia University when I got home and made an appointment with them........and then got the wind knocked out of my sails.......real quick........They have a campus close to my house.......Their classes started in August...the new classes start in January...(for evening)...because I missed getting registered for August......well.....here is the thing...They only have evening classes......get this......at their MEQUON campus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN MELANIE GET TO THE MEQUON CAMPUS????......YES.......BUT.....The bus that goes close to there (I'd have a 15 min walk) get this........the bus route will be DISCONTINUED.
I have a friend with a car that may take me but I have to give her gas money to do so...I need to check with the case worker to see if They will pay her gas money and stuff....other wise I won't have her do it and will figure something eles out. Maybe I'm just meant to stay stuid? who the heck knows.

And to top it all off washer died.

LOL.....Really......? No the washer did not stay working..........did 2- 1/2 loads...... :( Oh well.....



hey! Applied for a job today....keep things crossed for me.





Went to see a movie yesterday.....Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise..was that a good movie...action packed but not all bloody gorey and funny too. (at the budget $2.00)
wanted to see the Karate kid but they didn't have an evening showing for it :(


I want to see the expendables when it comes to the budget...looks like a good movie....has to be Stallone...Willis.....ludgren (?).

Well I FINALLY heard from my case worker......get to go see her on the 8th.......only been waiting since August 20th........finally got her to answer an e-mail...sheesh.

And guess what else.......washer is now working...CJ's other half finally came over and he turned it on and filled it up a bit and put it on spin.....piece of crap worked.....so I put in a small load ....worked just fine...wonder why sh** like this happens to me.....I called CJ and told her to tell him it's working ok.....well for now any way...I heard him yell in the background...that I just wanted his body...LMAOOOO (not)

Weather.....a balmy 63 today.....feels wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally some relief.
but...it's cloudy :(

well that's it for now.....have to go watch "Unsolved mysteries"...lol

A study worth sharing with friends both male and female:

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: if she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features.

However, if she is menstruating or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest with a bat up his ass while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected on this subject.

AND SO IT BEGINS...........

I am FRUSTRATED beyond belief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stand it any longer......I spent an hour 60 minutes!! on hold with MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College) because I needed to make an appointment to get this paperwork filled out for the dislocated workers program ...........that my case worker told me needed to be filled out BEFORE I can register for anything......the lady at MATC told me they can't fill out the fricken paper work UNLESS I am registered.....so I could not even get an appointment to see a councilor......WTF!!! Dingbats...I'd need to see a councilor anyway to find out what I need to register for, for my career of choice.....( I wanted to go for dietetic technician) I guess I'll just have to stay dumb. I did call my case worker but they are soooo busy I have no clue when she will get back to me. All I see now is a carrot being dangled in front of me....chasing something I'll never catch.

In the mean time I still have to job search for jobs that just are not there...or they ar in Menomonee Falls......Waukesha.......Franklin....Racine.......Places I cannot get to because I do not drive.......*()(^%^&%%($^&(^&^*$&

TEMPERATURE RIGHT NOW........62 DEGREES!!!

It finally cooled off a way lot here! Feels so good...great sleeping weather! Today is a busy day..have to head to the hire center.....cash first unemployment check.......call MATC to make an appointment with a councilor I ll have to take some sort of test for something....I am a bit nervous but...hey gotta do What I gotta do..ya know...lol.
