GOOD MORNING!!

Good morning...I am so tired...don't want to go to work to day...no ambition...After my line moved to Mexico I got a new position...I now work in the warehouse....got my lift truck operator's licence renewed yesterday....lol and I have to wear safety shoes..my poor feet. I'm beat at the end of the day...but it's something new and different...lol. I will still be losing my job sometime in April...but not much I can do about that...

We got another inch of snow yesterday...ick....I have to take out the garbage...but i have no idea if I can get out the back door or not...and I don't have the energy to go battle the back door snow....It's prolly a big drift....and then to dig out the garbage cans...so the garbagemen can get at the cans......sigh.

hope everyone has a great day!

GOOD INFORMATION TO PASS ON TO EVERYBODY THAT YOU KNOW

GOOD INFORMATION TO PASS ON TO EVERYBODY THAT YOU KNOW:
2010 Census to Begin WARNING:
2010 Census Cautions from the Better Business Bureau. Be Cautious About Giving Info to Census Workers by Susan Johnson .

With the U.S. Census process beginning, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises people to be cooperative, but cautious, so as not to become a victim of fraud or identity theft.

The first phase of the 2010 U.S. Census is under way as workers have begun verifying the addresses of households across the country. Eventually, more than 140,000 U.S. Census workers will count every person in the United States and will gather information about every person living at each address including name, age, gender, race, and other relevant data.

The big question is - how do you tell the difference between a U.S. Census worker and a con artist? BBB offers the following advice:

** If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a confidentiality notice.
Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering their questions. However, you should never invite anyone you don't know into your home.

** Census workers are currently only knocking on doors to verify address information. Do not give your Social Security number, credit card or banking information to anyone, even if they claim they need it for the U.S. Census. REMEMBER, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ASK, YOU REALLY ONLY NEED TO TELL THEM HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE AT YOUR ADDRESS.

While the Census Bureau might ask for basic financial information, such as a salary range, YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION.

The Census Bureau will not ask for Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, nor will employees solicit donations. Any one asking for that information is NOT with the Census Bureau. AND REMEMBER, THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS DECIDED NOT TO WORK WITH ACORN ON GATHERING THIS INFORMATION.
No Acorn worker should approach you saying he/she is with the Census Bureau. Eventually, Census workers may contact you by telephone, mail, or in person at home.

However, the Census Bureau will not contact you by Email, so be on the lookout for Email scams impersonating the Census. Never click on a link or open any attachments in an Email that are supposedly from the U.S. Census Bureau. PLEASE SHARE THIS INFO WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

MORE IDIOT SIGHTINGS...

I don't have much to say about my week but I figured a good giggle would be good.......

IDIOT SIGHTING: We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'NO, it's not..' Four is larger than two. We haven't used Sears repair since.

IDIOT SIGHTING: My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter.. She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back. She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said 'We're sorry but we could not do that kind of thing.' The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.. Do not confuse the clerks at McD's.

IDIOT SIGHTING: I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road.. The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.."

From Kingman , KS

IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE :My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco... She asked the person behind the counter for 'minimalLettuce.' He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg lettuce.
From Kansas City

IDIOT SIGHTING: I was at the airport, checking-in at the gate when an airport employee asked, 'Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?' To which I replied, 'If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?' He smiled knowingly and nodded, 'That's why we ask.'

This happened in Birmingham , Ala.

IDIOT SIGHTING: The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged co-worker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for.. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!'
She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS

IDIOT SIGHTING : At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker. She was leaving the company due to 'downsizing.' Our manager commented cheerfully,'This is fun. We should do this more often.' Not another word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. This was a lunch at Texas Instruments...

IDIOT SIGHTING:I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not turn on. A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office, no less.

IDIOT SIGHTING:When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'its open!' His reply, 'I know.. I already got that side.' This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, MS

STAY ALERT! They walk among us...

And They REPRODUCE

YIPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S BEEN A LONG WEEK...

It's been a long week for me....Training the people from Mexico, working overtime. I am beat! I had the opportunity to work again today but I said..no way....My house is a pigsty...garbage at least got taken out today..and dishes done..cat boxes still need to be changed..

We took the people from Mexico to brunch today. We went to Pottawatomie bingo casino for their brunch It was very good they enjoyed it. They were impressed with the size of it..it is quite huge. I was there once for lunch when my brother came to visit. And were blown away by how big the bingo hall is..lol! We had to walk threw the casino part to get to "The Buffet" that's the name of it..lol anyway I was amazed at all the people there just starring blankly and feeding money into the slot machines...scary thing is most of them were old. Some were middle aged. Same expression. I didn't hear much laughter, but the noise in the place may have drowned alot of it out tho...It was quite loud to me it was anyway.

Well have a great evening!

A BABY'S HUG..PASS ME A TISSUE.....

~ A Baby's Hug ~ We were the only family with children in the restaurant. I sat Erik ina high chair and noticed everyone was quietly sitting and talking.Suddenly, Erik squealed with glee and said, 'Hi.' He pounded his fatbaby hands on the high chair tray. His eyes were crinkled in laughterand his mouth was bared in a toothless grin, as he wriggled and giggledwith merriment. I looked around and saw the source of his merriment. It was a man whosepants were baggy with a zipper at half-mast and his toes poked out ofwould-be shoes. His shirt was dirty and his hair was uncombed andunwashed.. His whiskers were too short to be called a beard and his nosewas so varicose it looked like a road map.We were too far from him to smell, but I was sure he smelled.. His handswaved and flapped on loose wrists.. 'Hi there, baby; hi there, big boy.I see ya, buster,' the man said to Erik. My husband and I exchanged looks, 'What do we do?' Erik continued to laugh and answer, 'Hi.' Everyone in the restaurant noticed and looked at us and then at theman. The old geezer was creating a nuisance with my beautiful baby. Ourmeal came and the man began shouting from across the room, 'Do ya pattycake? Do you know peek-a-boo? Hey, look, he knows peek- a-boo.' Nobody thought the old man was cute. He was obviously drunk. My husband and I were embarrassed. We ate in silence; all except forErik, who was running through his repertoire for the admiring skid-rowbum, who in turn, reciprocated with his cute comments. We finally got through the meal and headed for the door. My husbandwent to pay the check and told me to meet him in the parking lot. Theold man sat poised between me and the door. 'Lord, just let me out ofhere before he speaks to me or Erik,' I prayed. As I drew closer to theman, I turned my back trying to sidestep him and avoid any air he mightbe breathing. As I did, Erik leaned over my arm, reaching with both armsin a baby's 'pick-me-up' position. Before I could stop him, Erik hadpropelled himself from my arms to the man. Suddenly a very old smelly man and a very young baby consummated theirlove and kinship. Erik in an act of total trust, love, and submissionlaid his tiny head upon the man's ragged shoulder. The man's eyesclosed, and I saw tears hover beneath his lashes. His aged hands full ofgrime, pain, and hard labor, cradled my baby's bottom and stroked hisback. No two beings have ever loved so deeply for so short a time. I stood awestruck. The old man rocked and cradled Erik in his arms andhis eyes opened and set squarely on mine. He said in a firm commandingvoice, 'You take care of this baby.' Somehow I managed, 'I will,' from a throat that contained a stone. He pried Erik from his chest, lovingly and longingly, as though he werein pain. I received my baby, and the man said, 'God bless you, ma'am,you've given me my Christmas gift.' I said nothing more than a muttered thanks. With Erik in my arms, I ranfor the car. My husband was wondering why I was crying and holding Erikso tightly, and why I was saying, 'My God, my God, forgive me.' I had just witnessed Christ's love shown through the innocence of a tinychild who saw no sin, who made no judgment; a child who saw a soul, anda mother who saw a suit of clothes. I was a Christian who was blind, holding a child who was not.. I felt it was God asking, 'Are you willingto share your son for a moment?' when He shared His for all eternity. How did God feel when he put his baby in our arms 2000 years ago. The ragged old man, unwittingly, had reminded me, 'To enter the Kingdomof God , we must become as little children.' If this has blessed you, please bless others by sending it on.Sometimes, it takes a child to remind us of what is really important. Wemust always remember who we are, where we came from and, mostimportantly, how we feel about others. The clothes on your back or thecar that you drive or the house that you live in does not define you atall; it is how you treat your fellow man that identifies who you are. This one is a keeper. 'It is better to be liked for the true you, than to be loved for whopeople think you are......'(Amen! ) I believe we could all take lessons from God's little children!!!
